Keep your vehicle in top condition by tracking all maintenance and repairs. This guide covers service logging, categories, and reminders.

Recording a Service

Basic Entry

  1. Tap the + button on the Dashboard
  2. Select Service
  3. Enter the details:
    • Date - When the service was performed
    • Odometer - Current mileage
    • Title - Brief description (e.g., “Oil Change”)
    • Cost - How much you paid

Service Categories

Choose a category to organize your services:

  • Oil Change - Engine oil and filter
  • Tires - Tire replacement, rotation, balancing
  • Brakes - Pads, discs, fluid
  • Battery - Replacement, charging
  • Filters - Air, cabin, fuel filters
  • Fluids - Coolant, brake fluid, transmission
  • Inspection - Annual inspections, MOT
  • Repair - Unplanned fixes
  • Other - Anything else

Additional Fields

  • Subcategory - More specific classification
  • Location - Where the work was done
  • Note - Detailed description
  • Photo - Attach receipts or photos

Service History

View all services in Menu > Services:

  • Sorted by date (newest first)
  • Filter by category or vehicle
  • Search by title or notes
  • See total costs per category

Viewing Details

Tap any service to see:

  • Full description and notes
  • Attached photos
  • Cost breakdown
  • Mileage at service

Creating Reminders

Never miss important maintenance by setting reminders.

Time-Based Reminders

“Remind me in 6 months”:

  1. Record a service (e.g., oil change)
  2. Tap Create Reminder
  3. Set the reminder date
  4. Add a note if desired

Mileage-Based Reminders

“Remind me at 100,000 km”:

  1. Record a service
  2. Tap Create Reminder
  3. Set the target odometer
  4. App notifies when approaching

Recurring Reminders

For regular maintenance (PRO):

  1. Create a reminder
  2. Enable Recurring
  3. Set interval (months or km)
  4. Reminder resets after completion

Service Tracking Best Practices

Keep Records of Everything

Track even minor services:

  • Windshield wiper replacement
  • Light bulb changes
  • Top-up fluids
  • Car washes (if relevant)

Attach Documentation

Use the photo feature for:

  • Receipts
  • Invoices
  • Before/after photos
  • Warranty cards

Be Specific in Notes

Good note: “Changed front brake pads and rotors. Rear pads still at 60%. Next check at 150,000 km.”

Bad note: “Brakes done”

Track Spending

View in Charts:

  • Services by Category - Where money goes
  • Monthly Service Costs - Spending trends
  • Cost per km/mile - Running costs

Category Breakdown

See which categories cost the most:

  1. Go to Menu > Charts
  2. Select Expenses by Category
  3. Filter to Services only
