What widgets are available?
My Cars offers three widget tiers:
Basic Widgets (Free)
- Quick Stats - Current fuel efficiency and total distance
- Last Refuel - Date and cost of your last fill-up
- Vehicle Selector - Quick switch between vehicles
PRO Widgets
- Budget Tracker - Current spending vs budget
- Fuel Price - Recent fuel prices with trend
- Monthly Cost - This month’s total expenses
Advanced Widgets (PRO+)
- Insights Summary - Latest smart alerts and suggestions
- Full Dashboard - Comprehensive stats at a glance
- Multi-Vehicle - Compare stats across all vehicles
How do I add a widget?
On most Android devices:
- Long-press on your home screen
- Select Widgets
- Find My Cars in the list
- Tap and hold the widget you want
- Drag it to your home screen
- Release to place it
On Samsung devices:
- Pinch on the home screen
- Tap Widgets
- Search for “My Cars”
- Tap and hold to place
How do I configure a widget?
After placing a widget:
- Tap the widget to open configuration
- Select options:
- Vehicle - Which vehicle to display
- Data to show - What metrics to display
- Style - Light, dark, or match system
- Tap Save or Done
How do I resize a widget?
- Long-press the widget until it’s selected
- Drag the resize handles to adjust
- Tap outside to confirm
Not all widgets support resizing. Larger widgets show more information.
Why isn’t my widget updating?
If widgets show outdated data:

Check battery optimization
- Go to device Settings > Apps > My Cars
- Disable battery optimization

Check background data
- Ensure My Cars has background data permission

Force refresh
- Tap the widget to open the app
- Data updates when the app opens

Recreate the widget
- Remove and re-add the widget
Can I have multiple widgets?
Yes! You can add:
- Multiple widgets of the same type (different vehicles)
- Different widget types together
- Widgets on different home screens
How do I remove a widget?
- Long-press the widget
- Drag to Remove or tap the X
- The widget is removed (app data is unaffected)
Do widgets drain battery?
My Cars widgets are designed to be efficient:
- Update only when data changes
- No constant background polling
- Minimal battery impact
If concerned, use fewer widgets or disable background updates.
Which widget should I use?

Widget not appearing in list?
If you can’t find My Cars widgets:
- Make sure the app is installed (not just on SD card)
- Restart your device
- Check if widgets are disabled in app settings
- Update to the latest app version
