What are Insights?
Insights are intelligent alerts that analyze your data to:
- Detect potential data entry errors
- Identify unusual patterns
- Warn about maintenance needs
- Celebrate achievements
- Suggest improvements
Access them via Menu > Insights.
What types of insights are there?
My Cars generates several insight categories:
- Data error - Potential typos or incorrect entries
- Unusual pattern - Anomalies in your data
- Maintenance warning - Service may be overdue
- Cost alert - Unusual spending detected
- Efficiency trend - Changes in fuel efficiency
- Achievement - Positive milestones reached
- Suggestion - Tips for better tracking
What do the severity levels mean?
Insights are color-coded by priority:
- Critical (Red) - Requires immediate attention
- Warnings (Orange) - Should be reviewed soon
- Info (Blue) - Informational, no action required
- Positive (Green) - Good news and achievements
How do I act on an insight?
Each insight offers relevant actions:
- Tap the insight to expand details
- Choose an action like:
- Edit Refuel - Fix data errors
- View Trends - See related charts
- Schedule Service - Book maintenance
- Learn More - Get additional info
- Or tap Dismiss if not applicable
Can I dismiss insights?
Yes! To dismiss an insight:
- Tap the insight
- Select Dismiss
- Confirm the dismissal
Dismissed insights can be restored from the history. Dismissing insights doesn’t delete your data.
Is Insights a PRO feature?
Intelligent Insights requires a PRO subscription. The feature includes:
- Smart data analysis
- Maintenance predictions
- Efficiency trend detection
- Personalized suggestions
Free users see basic data validation only.
